Since A and B members seem to be a sore point with people and this is the new, more racer friendly SNORE why not get rid of A and B and just have membership. If its a problem with living in Vegas then make a rule that you have to live within so many miles of Las Vegas or reside in Nevada to hold office?

Are there any plans to change the A Member / B Member rules? If so, what are they and what is the spirit of the change?

This was asked by Dan200 last week yet I didn't see a response to it on the answer post:

"Also, when can we expect to have confirmation about RATR? Fast Aid was able to set up some fundraisers based around this race and we cannot finalize them if this race is in limbo.."

Can we get an answer on this?

If it doesn't happen, how will Championship points be handled?

What is the status of the safety plan between the BLM and SNORE? Without all the posts it is difficult to remember when the final date was or if there ever was one. On the reveg of the Mint 400 course, with only 3 weeks left in October, one weekend for course marking, one for racing, it leaves just one weekend for this project. Will this reveg be done in house or will it be subcontracted out to do? What is entailed in this reveg? A lot of questions here that is for sure. I could wrong here but wasn't the reveg tied into the permit for the RATR? Thanks.

SNORE BOD's will be looking into this further, the A and B member titles where originally established due to B members not being able to vote. The Bylaws have been amended since to allow B Members to vote.
The possibility of the titles "in-state" and "out-of-state" racers may be the solution, but the BOD's will discuss this at the next BOD meeting.

Currently the only rules that differ a "A" member from a "B" member is being able to hold a position. Which is due to the meetings being held in Las Vegas twice a month and alot of local time and involvement required to hold a position. So there is currently no plans for changing that rule.

Sorry about that, that was a oversight on my end, I noticed that as well.

YES RATR will be happening. SNORE and BLM are working very closely together along with MJ Smith from Laughlin Tourism Group. BLM is very proactive and confident that SNORE will be off suspension prior to RATR and making RATR happen as planned.

SNORE met with the BLM on 10/6 to go over their issues with the previously submitted safety plan and rewrite the plan together at there office. The safety plan has been looked at by BLM and so far meets there requirements, we should be hearing from them very shortly for the official news on the approval.

Since then, we have been working on modifying the currently submitted operations plan for RATR to meet the new safety plan requirements that will HAVE to be followed at this years RATR.

SNORE received the Official Reveg. Plan for the Mint 400 degradation on that same day (10/6), We are meeting BLM on 10/12 at the site to go over the logistics of the reveg and it will take place shorty after the SNORE 250. There is not a concrete deadline to finish the project, it just needs to be started by the end of October and be completed by the middle of November. As soon as we have a confirmed date on which most of the labor will take place we will let the members know.

THANK YOU
