I come from racing in District 37 on a bike and BITD, both of which have way better corse markings than snore and they also honor the top 3 at the year end points and I believe SCORE does too. When I took second Ironman on a bike in BITD that is a sportsman's class I was honored for what I had accomplished and awarded with a trophy. I am with you about not honoring everyone just the ones that accomplished something like the top 3 in each class. Getting top 20 overall is nothing. Look at my team, we took second in 7s and get nothing more than the true grit deal, but yet the top 5 1-2/1600 cars get recognition since they made top 20. We even placed overall higher than the class 8 winner and the HM winner and yet my team gets nothing for our hard work. I just think its wrong and not the way racing is. After racing all season with snore I am not impressed at all and will not be back ever again. Hell the only bonus class are buggies and no one wants to sponsor a truck that runs in snore. I was told by several companies that if I was racing BITD or SCORE that I would have gotten something but because I was here that I would get nothing. snore's biggest races next year are bap, the midnight and ratr. No more Mint and hell 2 of the races snore is not putting on they joined with other organizations. I agree with the people that were on the old board about this organization wanting to keep it small and only close tight knit group of people to race with. I was impressed at the beginning of the year but now I wished I could have gone and raced somewhere else. I feel that I have wasted thousands of dollars for nothing racing here and would have preferred to spend more in entry fee and everything else with BITD where I know there is something to earn at the end of the year if you do well.

then maybe you should stick to racing bikes....SNORE rocks and i am proud to be part of a organization like SNORE....can't wait for the first race.....

Mr Starr I was looking at this past years race results and I can't see what your complaint is . Your finishes were less than stellar with 4 DNF's , 3 last place finishes and you didn't even complete one lap at RAGE . Do you really think you need a ribbon like in elementary school for just showing up the most ? I can appreciate your team getting the truck ready to race but bitching about not being recognized for 4 DNFs is crazy .

So you want to talk crap???? Do you even know what happened to my truck at rage???? Obviously not. My driver and co-driver had it roll on them right after the start. And if I had taken first and the Rose truck had rolled I would have won the championship. Winning a championship is not about finishing well, its about starting every race and finishing as many as you can. The guy that I bought the truck from left me with many problems that kept popping up every race. Just look at NASCAR or me in my 2009 year. The highest place that I finished on the bike was 7th and dnfed a race and guys win the cup all the time and don't even finish higher that 10th. My complaint is that my team worked hard and earned a second in the championship and are getting nothing in return from snore, if this was BITD I would have gotten a trophy, $1000.00 or so from BITD and some money from Ford. Here you can give two sheits about the ones that show up do their best and earn something other than first. Hell the pay-outs at races are not even that great. Its all about first and no one else. I mean 7 of us show up at the Mint and 3rd doesn't even get $100, but first gets $1,200, if that was BITD 3rd would have gotten something. And you tell me how someone can race 4 races and win a championship. I thought it was the best 5 out of 6????? Here I show up DNF 4 and still place higher than him, FYI I am talking about the Heavy Metal Champ, Monte Tibbitts. Like I said before we even did better than the Class 8 champion so you explain how I do not deserve some kind of recognition for getting second and the top 5 1600 guys get something.

I am not proud to have raced here. Like I said before I WASTED MONEY RACING HERE. And it obvious you did not get what I said about BITD. They recognize all year end point podium winners and pay the Pro classes unlike here.

sorry you feel that way....the mint 400 plaster city were marked by the people that are not with this club any more, so dont know what to tell you they have there own club... sorry that you got 2nd in your class and you dont get a trophy but maybe score or bitd will give you one for 2 nd place....

So what is you excuse for Ridgecrest being just as bad if not worse than Plaster city on markings????

I will not be back. In late next year, 2013 and the rest of my racing years I will be racing BITD. I knew it was a bad idea to leave there.

I race SCORE also and would never go tell Sal this is how SNORE does it nor would I go to the MINT 400 in 2012 and tell Casey how SNORE did it. There was a reason you raced SNORE, lower prices, fair amount of racers, good organization, good people. The year end awards might not be how BITD or SCORE does it but it is how SNORE does it and has done it forever.

I am not mad about the truck more so of the team put all this effort into the season and for what?? nothing. Its like putting time and money into a report for school where you think you are going to get a grade and it doesn't mean anything. Only reason I came here was for the entry fees and I now regret it. People asked what other organizations recognize the podium winners at years end.

That Snore was a good organization. That has just changed with finding out that they only honor the champions and could care less about the top 3, nor is there a end of the year pay-off. Between that and the half marked courses my decision for where to race in 2013 has been made, and well its not here.
